Perfume can last all day if you add a step into your routine which won't cost you the Earth. Fragrance layering can be expensive and time-consuming, and it might not even improve the longevity of your perfume, depending on the projection of each scent. However, there's something you may already have in your wash bag which can solve the problem - and if you don't have it, it'll set you back just £1.80.
Khaelan, who posts on TikTokas @iamkhaelan, said this hack will "keep you in check," saying it "has worked so well [...] in the past" when she used it.
She continued: "If my entire layering routine is too much, this is perfect for someone who wants to grab and go!"

She then pulled out "the secret," which is a tub of Vaseline.
"Angel, all you're going to do is take the Vaseline and rub it into your pulse points, because these are the best places for you to apply this," she shared.
Khaelan demonstrated you should apply the Vaseline to the wrists, behind your ears, and neck. Basically, anywhere you'd naturally spray perfume.
She even went the extra mile and put some on the back of her ankle, because she "sprays perfume everywhere" to ensure she smells good.
"I'm gonna rub some onto my chest," she continued, ensuring that when she walks past someone or interacts with them, they're going to remember her for her on-point scent.
Khaelan said: "Then, you're going to take your fragrance of the day. I'm using Coco Cream today [by Boy Smells]. And you're gonna spray that where you put that Vaseline."
She claimed the Vaseline will "lock onto the perfume" and "hold it in place all day".
"The jelly, oil consistency here grips onto your product," Khaelan explained, meaning you'll be able to get a whiff of yourself all day long, which is the best feeling.
Other people made suggestions about what you could use instead of Vaseline, in case you find it "too sticky".
"I've done this before, but I've found that using a face primer (like Elf Power Grip) works even better," one woman shared.
Others said they found "spraying perfume directly onto clothes" helps, as the material almost soaks in the scent and you can smell it for hours after.
"Cerave lotions are my favourite; they're unscented and have hyaluronic acid. I find them ideal for using before perfume," somebody recommended on Reddit's perfumes forum.
Someone else in the thread said hyaluronic acid works really well because it doesn't have occlusives in it, which some reckon can change the scent of your perfume.
So, it's best to give different combinations a try and see what works for you!
